Virgo Moon handles impressions

Luna has very thoughtfully, carefully, and I suspect with a great deal of discrimination, entered Virgo in these wee hours of this San Francisco morning. In Virgo, the moon will offer firm ground to work with the many subtle and nebulous ideas that wafted through consciousness this week when Venus squared Neptune.

Virgo is needed and appreciated so well at turns of the zodiac like this when one of the most important personality producing thought functions, Venus, comes in stressful contact with a Far out mystical force like Neptune. To say this is a beautiful event only highlights the limits of language to fully appreciate inner bliss and to say that this is also challenging borders on malpractice.

Venus and Neptune share similar qualities on vastly different scales. They are both associated with beauty, love, and grace--Venus on a very personal level while Neptune on a collective level. Venus is very much about one's inner vibration and from that attraction, hence the associations of Venus with values, self-esteem, and relationship.

Neptune is associated with the unity of existence (where all things are related to each other), depth of emotion (hence, hysteria/bliss), and mysticism. Here is the realm of impressions and poetry, communication that is indirect and subtle.

A square aspect indicates an inner tension, something that needs to be worked out within the individual (vs. with someone else). Of course inner tensions can easily become challenges with others if one is lacking in response-ability with their self. So it's good to know what to look out for.

What this particular transit may have induced wass a cloud over the ability to understand and interpret emotion. Venus, in part, translates and puts names to emotions and with this angle too Neptune, that path is difficult to navigate. Flipping on the high-beams doesn't work in fog--that just reflects the light back and has the effect of blinding you--so you have to approach the road the same, just slower.

There may have been a temptation to name an emotion based on intuition (I think I'm feeling this) but even could have mislead as Neptune has a penchant for over-reacting and delusion. Most of the past week would have been better finding a way towards neutral, objective recognition and interpretation of events way before reaction.

Just the kind of job the moon in Virgo loves to manage, so hopefully you took good notes.
