""Reality" is a word in the English language which happens to be (a) a noun and (b) singular. Thinking in the Enlish language (and in cognate Indo-European languages) therefore subliminally
programs us to conceptualize "reality" as one block-like entity, sort of like a huge New York skyscraper, in which every part is just another "room" within the same building. This linguistic program is so pervasive that most people cannot "think" outside it at all , and when one tries to offer a different perspective they imagine one is "talking gibberish"
Robert Anton Wilson Cosmic Trigger
Wilson goes on to posit that realities (plural) are best understood as relative to the observer as demonstrated through modern quantum physics. Reality can and does take several, unique takes.
Astrologically "reality" is structured in one's consciousness symbolically by Saturn. Saturn correlates to time/space reality and the limits that one is able to grasp without others appearing as though they are speaking gibberish.
Saturn is not the end of the story by any means with Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto beyond in this solar system. These latter planets (forces, as astrologer Antero Alli would teach--see his highly recommended Astrologik, The Oracular Art of Astrology) indicate how one can transform that Saturnian reality structure once its tasks are understood and accepted. Plenty easier said than done that's for sure!
My Saturn in is the 7th House the area of life that deals with relationships. I have had (have to) to learn lessons about responsibility in relationships, boudaries, and come to terms with fears of intimacy....there's much more to the story (as I'm sure you can imagine) but that's an example.
I ran into obstacle after obstacle in life the more I resisted this force (actually, the more I resisted the resistance but that's another story). Once I accepted responsibility for my role and stopped resisting my Saturn tasks I was able to approach life with new eyes, relate more responsibly, and eventually grow. This growth and reinforcement through self-esteem infused other areas of my life and enabled me to transform, transcend and be born again and again and again in this life.
Wherever Satrun is in your chart will indicate the shape and scope of your reality structure and where and how to transcend those boundaries.
