Aries (March 20-April 19)
This week offers an opportunity to consider new ways of expressing your essential self. This may be best applied to your public self--the one that is known for what you do, who you are, and how you go about that. I'm trying to avoid the word career (although this is how most people understand this dynamic in society) and express something more about your vocation, your calling--and how you can enact some serious change. What about the way you present yourself is habitual and comfortable yet not quite you? How would you like to act instead? What would be entirely different about your life and circumstances if you suddenly, spontaneously, and dramatically started performing the part of your true self?
Taurus (April 19- May 20)
If life has been far too talkative and excitable lately, then you will be happy to realize the treasure trove of tranquility that awaits you at home. All you have to do is surrender to your sanctuary and your sanctuary will reward you with innumerable inspirational projects awaiting your sacred presence. It really doesn't matter whether you have sprawling acres of wilderness to work with or a tiny little box, you will be rewarded in time for any projects begun. Consider as well that your home is not just the structure that you live in or the plot of land you occupy: you are home within your own skin and with all that occurs therein, you are home around family and ancestors living or dead, and you are home on this beautiful, spiraling spaceship Mother Earth...now what projects can you imagine?
Gemini (May 20-June 21)
It will be well worth you while to key in to your surroundings this week as your senses are at peek acuteness. You won't need any special ritual or purification ceremony to attune yourself to this it is there for the utilizing. It seems that you would benefit greatly form changes in environment, multiple short trips in your locale or neighborhood. If/when you take these several jaunts around your community, try to approach everything as if it was brand new--see if you can avoid putting a name to the objects that you see, hear, taste, smell, or touch--re-acquire your beginner's mind. Your intellect is keen right now and ripe for creation--you may just find that you've been missing something that has been right in front of you all along.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Oftentimes, the best way to develop faith in yourself, to grow in understanding of your essential being and expand your consciousness, you have to confront certain boundaries of your psyche, through family, society, and religious conditioning, that have been holding you back. Most often this happens one of two ways: you either already recognize those aspects of personality that need to change and slowly, dutifully, persistently work on them, or, you suppress, remain unconscious, or, maybe even revel in them until they demand transformation in the form of some shocking, volcanic event. One way or another I suspect that these difficult, reflective themes may be coming into focus these last few weeks and undoubtedly impacting, or rather making aware, long held idea of your self worth that need to change. If you've ascertained any new ideas about how or who you would like to be, this week would be an excellent time to plant some seeds of novelty into your value system. You may just find the pitch you've been looking for.
Leo (July 22-August 23)
There are those who say you can think yourself into right acting and those that say you can act your way into right hinting. Whatever your general philosophy may be, and of course these are not the only choices just ones that seem relevant to the astrology, this week seems to be a good time to try acting your way into new behavior. There are indications in your chart that you are experiencing an expanded dreamtime as well as a warrior like drive to meld with spirit. If this has been your experience there is little doubt that you are having epiphanies of the unity of all of creation (seriously), a yearning for deeper communication and union with creator, and/or downright, utter confusion. Whichever--it could be all--of those experiences are yours, the New Moon in your solar first house is inviting you to plant some seed of creative, performative propulsion of self--perhaps though it is the new understanding of your divine self rather than the self you've understood until this time.
Virgo (August 23-September 22)
As you develop a new and expansive relationship with your tribe and take action on some of those inspiring ideas and intense discussions, there may be a stirring in your relationship with divinity. This is a good month to keep a dream journal and spend some time meditating on some of those dream images. Consider your day dreams as well--they are quite valuable in their own right and highly undervalued in society. Daydreams, visioning, and creative projections--these are all important, nay, essential parts of the creative process and most likely fired up in you this week. How can you build a connection between dreamtime and wake-time? What part of each of those worlds can you share with the other to better inform your relationship to divinity? If you start to ask yourself these questions, or questions like these, you may start to perceive more and more subtle impressions.
Libra (September 22-October 23)
The theme of change in relationships continues with a twist: you have a much better understanding of your ideals in partnerships and have crystallized a vision for what you want to present to others. There is much energy potential for you to act on these new visions and ideals of where you belong in the world with these new values. It’s as if you’ve formed a new and personal relationship with creator hirself (that’s not a typo) and you have an expansive understanding of your calling. This has a lot to do with letting go of conditioned, possibly biological emotional attunements that have been hard to come to grips with. It looks like you have taken responsibility for your resources and understand what you have to give and what you should receive. Look around you this week and notice how much has changed and how far you’ve come. Step into your new world.
Scorpio (October 23-November 22)
If there was ever a time to come clean with yourself about who you are, where you want to be, and how you wan to get there now is the time. In an already intense period of destruction and creation, to which you are no doubt quite familiar, this New Moon is an invitation to make intentions about creating your ideal reputation. Are you doing what inspires you? If not, how can you manage your responsibilities so that you can facilitate manifestation of your true gifts? Another question this New Moon may ask is how are you nurturing your inner child? For all the responsibilities that you take on, where do you find the time to play? For all the weight how do you manage room for levity? For parents this may mean making certain to spend devoted time with your children and just—clown around. Everyone’s a parent in some way though, to something, and the intention is the same: to devote time for merrymaking. In this space you may have creative epiphanies that echoes through many other fields of your experience.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 22)
The astrology suggests that there has been quite a bit of learning, growing, and communicating about boundaries and ownership in areas of shared energy. Marriage is certainly one of these areas of life experience but it also includes business merges, other contracts, death (the merger with creator), or sex (physical union with another). A lot of emotions have been spent and possibly anger released, so that a careful, refined understanding of your relationship to responsibility can formulate. These are some of the most difficult areas of life to deal with so if you’ve been feeling burned out—emotionally, physically, and mentally—forgive yourself, and well, congratulate yourself—you’ve been going with the flow. The New Moon this week offers an opportunity to imagine, consider, and set intentions about getting to the truth of these matters. What are the deeper, spiritual principles that you want to live by? Are you living according to them? How can you align yourself an your partnerships in creative, respectful, dignified ways?
Capricorn (December 22-January 20)
Sometimes when things are going well it’s just because they’re going well. These are the times that the only thing that can stand in the way of the success that is available to you is the darkness that lurk within. Please, don’t take that personally, or be scared, see, we all have a shadow within, the trick is to make friends with the shadow versus wishing it did not exist. This is a good week to propose marriage to your shadow, vow to dig deep with hir (not a typo), make a commitment to really understand your shadow’s role and manifestation. By doing this you will be accessing a wellspring of creative, informative, and deeply held truths about yourself that will begin to heal some old wounds. This healing will facilitate the success within grasp and help to validate the good feelings that have been occurring in your many different relationships, encourage the transformation of self that is well underway, and bring you closer to your tribe.
Aquarius (January 20-February 19)
One of the big questions that I think the astrology is asking you is about authority and power: use the 5 W’s, who, what, where, when, and why. There is a part of you that has some hidden trappings of control, whether it is being controlled, controlling others, a combination of the two, or an alternation of the two—whatever the case may be it is coming under your intense gaze at this time. This psychic question coming to consciousness correlates with an opportunity to wed yourself to a new way or relating to others. If you initiate a new dynamic in the way that you break bread with others there is a strong chance of gaining another dose of divine wisdom. Your strength right now is in keeping the emotional urges contained and it would be wise to continue this practice however it is you have been and to remember that in the end, we are all here to serve, in some sacred way, each other. True power comes from surrender.
Pisces (February 19-March 20)
Pay close attention to your interactions with others this week, whether it’s friends, lovers, teacher, or business relations as there will be a connection between things you hear and your drive to do something creative. You may find inspiration from others and one never knows when that could arrive. Keep a pen and paper handy (or take a note or two on your iphone) to whatever vibrates well with your inner sense. In general, this year is peek time for creative expansion and right now you have a stronger drive to follow up on your passions. Creative self-expression can take many forms. One does not have to produce art per say to live as a creative. One path available is making one’s life an art. This path is set before you and you would do well to tap into the mythic realm of Neptune. The New Moon is in your 6th solar house and offers an opportunity to lay the groundwork for your creative self-expression to take on a sacred form.
