We are still, as always, a part of the great becoming. We are not settled beings. We are not dusty nouns. We are best suited as undefined, unpredictable adjectives and verbs, moving, shaking, dancing, and crying through the days and nights. Who am I? Who are we? Where are we going? The dark of the moon may spark many questions such as these as well as the energy to receive the answers. Remembering that the right questions may always be better than any answers we may deduce, attempt to remain open and curious to whatever experiences come your way, and at peace with the uncertainty of you.
The New Moon in Libra, aligns into being on Thursday, preparing a backdrop of intensification and potential change. The New Moon aligns at 26 degrees of Libra, exactly opposite Uranus, the planet of sudden, shocking, unexpected change which, along with Jupiter and Mercury in Scorpio, provides a climate of focused change and emotional attunement. This is a very dynamic alignment. The many different ways that we come together to get things done: in love, learning, and enterprise are ripe for immediate, sudden shifts. Expect the unexpected. Saturn continues to burn in Sagittarius and sits on the ascendant of the chart set for San Francisco, suggesting that this is serious business. This is a full accountability chart and regardless of how off guard an event or circumstances may catch you, you will be responsible, as Saturn always teaches, for how it is handled. Your response-ability may be worked There is a great contradiction in this chart, in this energy. Libra personifies collaboration, harmony, understanding, reflection, working together, and partnerships. The New Moon here suggests all of those dynamics of working together. Yet it is directly opposed to Uranus, the planet of freedom and autonomy, the planet of de-conditioning. It seems that there is something powerful to be considered about the way that we do this, the way that we partner with one another. One of the questions to ask may be: what are the conditioning patterns that I bring into my partnerships? What do I assume are the rules of being in union with another? What people, ideas, and institutions instilled these ideas in me and are they still mine? If they’re not really mine, what are my ideals regarding the guidelines of coupling? Maybe even more importantly, how do I communicate these questions, this discourse, openly, honestly and sincerely with the individuals that I am relating with? Ideally, the freedom and autonomy to act, grow, think and operate within our various relationships would be inherent, but this is not always so. There was something said above about having the right questions...here’s more: How much are we giving and/or taking from our partners? What are the assumptions in place in our relationships? How much room does each individual have to their becoming? An alignment like this will bring these dynamics to the forefront and, depending on how one is situated within a partnership, may produce shocks that make it unavoidable to address. As fortune would have things, there’s an aspect of the chart that provides a path of accomplishment, if you are confronted (or presented :) ) with these questions and dynamics (it’s entirely possible that this occurs subtly, or nothing happens at all). That path lies in the midpoint structure. Midpoints are a valuable tool that helps parse more subtle aspects of a chart. In short, any 2 planets or points (the midheaven for example is a point-an orientation-that although does not exist in and of itself, has powerful manifestations) can be understood as connected by finding the point that exists between the 2. Generally, when 2 planets or points are connected through and aspect (degree of separation, i.e. conjunct, sextile, square, trine, opposition are the main ones) they’re energy works together. Utilizing midpoints we are able to highlight more subtle and effective connections that are not as visible or consciously present. The path of fulfillment in this chart has Venus at the midpoint of Mars and the midheaven. This midpoint, Mars and the midheaven, suggests aspects of an individual's will to accomplish (Mars) with their calling in life (midheaven). These points combined, or where they meet, reflects one’s thoughtful pursuit of accomplishment, their will to action, their vision and path to success in career, one who is direct in their goals and prepared to do what it takes to accomplish them. Adding Venus to this, where the New Moon finds outlet (Venus as the ruler of Libra), brings that energy to the relating aspects and all the questions presented by the chart alignment. Imagine the force of will and accomplishment combined with the grace and purpose of Venus and this could translate into visionary manifestations of love. Could there be anything better than visionary love? What would be your vision? How would that love manifest? How would you accomplish that? Perhaps those are the best question to ask. How will this New Moon affect you personally? Check in with me and we can talk about just that. It will depend on several factors, but most simply, it depends on the shape and orientation of you chart. If you haven't seen your chart, check in with me and I'll happy draw one up and send it to you. If you want to dig down deeper and find more of the mystery of yourself, call or email and we'll set up a meeting. Please feel free to comment, "like", or share any of this. I'm committed to writing here on a regular basis. It's important to me personally to express my relationship with astrology, which is deep and meaningful, and while I do this, I would love to develop relationships with you. Please let me know that you're out there! http://www.trinityastrology.com/how-to-reach-me.html

Libra is the beginning of the social movement of consciousness from the Northern hemisphere’s personal expense and out into the world of other’s. Libra energy is concerned with relationships and understanding one’s self through the reflection of other’s experience. This is where the self-propulsion (Aries), values(Taurus), modes of thinking and communicating(Gemini), ancestry and emotional response (Cancer), creative expression (Leo), and style of service (Virgo) are met with, understood, and objectified through interaction with others. This makes Libra energy extremely social, necessarily so, in order to have a multitude of examples to compare and contrast with their own. This also makes Libra a great understander of personal motivations, to understand what their partner, friend, student, or teacher needs, and what kind of reactions to expect from another’s experience. Therefore, Libra has the ability to make things happen in harmonious ways and very often seeks to wield power in this way. Libra is the great articulator of what is just, the great peacemaker, a warrior in the service of harmony.
Libra is a cardinal sign. Cardinal energy moves things and in this case it will be moving people and the energies and events that surround making people feel right (or maybe the way they want to feel). Harmony is a delicate thing, very easily disturbed, and maintaining this can be cumbersome. The strong desire (cardinal energy) to maintain this delicate peace, can be an energetic drain on folks with high Libra energy. This energy exists to help the seeker learn about haste, and pacing, and of course their place. There are times and places to intercede and times and places to let go, and learning that, observing that, engaging with that for the purpose of harmony and relating, the seeker finds the right allies, and understands their enemies. The delicate nature of harmony is expressed beautifully in ibra’s glyph: two parallel lines with a bulge in the top line. It’s reflective of the Sun in perfect balance on the horizon, and when the Sun ingresses Libra it is the Fall Equinox, equal parts day and night. This happens at the Spring Equinox as well when the Sun enters Libra’s polarity point in Aries. The balance does not last and so the work continues to strike or make up for the lack of harmony. So Libra is the start of a new season, the Fall, when things start to change, the light begins to fade, the crops need to be harvested, and preparations made for the long winter. With her energy it can be considered safe that the work will get done in as equitable fashion as possible. Libra is an air sign. The mental sphere is highlighted and Libra energy is tuned into the social, perceptual arena’s. With Libra energy communication, clear, well thought out strategies to reach others, and ensuring that the rationale and motivations for decisions that affect others is vital. The symbol for Libra is the scales of justice. She is constantly weighing in with the balance of situations and attempting objective calculations of justice. This speaks to the importance of a large social circle to engage with and learn the varieties of ethics, morals, and temperaments of those who she may come to judge. and at her best, she is earnestly considering every side. The dark side of Libra is manipulation, selfishness, domination, dependency, exasperation, and/or anxiety. That is not an exhaustive consideration of the challenges or shadow side of Libra energy, but some of the more common and important ones. With Libra being so assertively out in the social world, engaging in relationships, learning so much about the relativity of values, ethics, and moral systems, the dark sides may appear. It can be easy to forget one’s individuality in these situations and become domineered by another; it can become exhausting to meet the needs of others when so activly and insticklty enaged with a variety of relationships; and it can become a maker of anxiety to feel the pressure of meeting other’s needs. There is certainly also the possibility of one with strong Libra energy to become manipulative. Knowing how other’s work so well, being a student of relationships and so well practiced at the art, Libra energy knows how to motivate others, how to get them to do what they want, without regard for the justice of the situation. All of these must be considered when dealing with or engaging with Libra energy. Please feel free to comment, here or on social media, and "like" and "share". Thank you for your attention. The first New Moon of 2017 occurs Friday January 27, 2017 at 4:07 PM in California. Aquarius is a fixed air sign, occurring in mid-winter, cold and moist, therefore reflective like the icicles and frozen lakes often seen at this time. Aquarius has been ruled by Saturn for thousands of years and until very recently, Uranus. It’s not worth it to have a strong bias one way or another towards the way astrologers or those with interest in astrology use rulerships, however, I tend more these days to rely on the tradition, and therefore let Saturn guide me in delineation of things associated with Aquarius. One of my very sound justifications for this is the makeup of the zodiac through testimonies and teachers in the tradition. It may require a longer and separate article to explain that, however briefly, it should be enough to demonstrate the soundness of Saturn as the ruler of Aquarius, to point out the sign opposite, Leo, a Hot and Dry sign ruled by the Sun. Saturn was the furthest planet from the Sun at the time, in fact without the aid of telescopes and with the use of only the naked eye, it still is the last visible planet from the Sun, and therefore was the natural opposite in the zodiac. The chart for this New Moon is divinely reflective, very Western oriented, which offers that hint of reflection or projection. In a natal chart with a signature like this it would suggest that the overall life pattern is that of one who will reflect other’s experiences for them. Act as a mirror of experience. How Aquarian. Aquarius has the air of objectification, and anything reflected for another to see, will naturally be removed from the subjective. In other words, this will be a good time to start stepping back from firm ideas about who one is and what one thinks. This is a good time to listen to others and attempt to see oneself as another does. Reflect on how one is received in the world and in the eyes of intimate encounters. Aquarius being the opposite sign of Leo, where the creative child lives and revels in hir (hir is a Timothy Leary combination of him/her) uniqueness, Aquarius is where the creation is offered to the world. The place and space for allowing what is created to be judged, for good or for ill, from the community that it’s offered. This is no small thing. The ego deflation that comes with creative output is not for the thin skinned. Somewhere, somehow, we all need to develop this thicker layer for the purpose of growth and evolution. At some point, very generally the Aquarian point, something new needs to be sewn. This is a part of the natural order. It’s also where Saturn makes sense as the dispositor. Saturn is the ruler of time and space, of boundaries, of consensus reality. There are those pioneers in every time and place that hike beyond those boundaries, however, like any deep state operative, they must be associated with that with which they seek to move beyond. The Aquarius association with Saturn can be seen in the blending of things old with things new. Most changes, it seems, take place like this. What kind of changes can we expect or facilitate arrival? Right work ones. There’s a lot in this chart that speaks of the Buddhist tenets of “Right livelihood”. Saturn in the 6th house, the house of service and work and also in Sagittarius, a sign that exudes spiritual, religious, mystical traits. Even if one must commit to Uranus as associated with Aquarius, Uranus is in the 10th House, the House of one’s calling. We would be well served seeking to spiritualize our work. Atheistic materialism, which seems to have been the prevailing world view for the past few hundred years, is reaching, hopefully, it’s zenith. This New Moon, the first of 2017, and after a horrifyingly depressing world from 2016, seems to be offering an opportunity to move on from the madness, to seek independence and autonomy, in learning, working, and living. This New Moon is also in the 7th House of this chart. It seems to be asking for a new conception of relationships. Something Aquarian. Something different. Something unique. Something that will fit better for the future. As always, where and how this New Moon and the accompanying transits will affect and individual depends of their particular nativity. Aries Don’t agonize, organize. The New Moon in Aquarius in your solar 11th is calling for you to unite with friends, organizations, and networks that will be stepping points for all sorts of altruistic endeavors. It may seem at this time that you are in the thick of the woods, surrounded by dense fog, and unable to navigate your way to solid ground, however, the footing will be surer as the month progresses. The fog will lift. The way forward will be lit as if by a thousand bonfires, and your sense of your place in things will be sound All you have to do is join forces with other nefarious, spiritual rebels into the uncertain, but bright future. If nothing else, you’ll make new friends and make available to yourself new and vibrant communities. Taurus You are clearly surrounded by allies and in the company of kindred spirits. While it has been important to be there, in the social graces of your tribe, making contacts and expressing the inexpressible, there may be a quiet tension brewing as this New Moon approaches. A faint voice within may be heralding something that has to do with your calling, your true place in the scheme of all this madness. Seek clues within, a turning in which may greet you with this New Moon, that will point to something novel, something new approach that you didn’t realize was part of your path. It may mean a breaking, a departure, or it could be the polar opposite, the suggestion of a joint effort, a merger of forces. One thing is certain, you are not, nor will you be, alone. Gemini Sometimes, you just have to blow it all up and start all over again. Yes, there are a lot of thoughts like that these days, and it seems that the sentiment has been on your mind as well. Whether this is or isn’t the time to do so looks as though it will come into more focus, certainly more attention, as this New Moon perfects. It’s easy to forget at the most important times that one’s spiritual health is as important to maintain as any other dynamic that exists in the world, and the likelihood that you’ve neglected this due to a focus on everything else, is high. This New Moon is calling you back to your core, to your heart, to your spiritual center. How well you heed this call will no doubt affect your ability to navigate the question of whether or not to scrap the latest roadmap. Cancer The beginning is near! It’s a much nicer thought than the alternative, isn’t it? Emotional security is not derived from another, no matter how tight the union may be, it must come from within, autonomously. Then true union can occur. This can be a frightening thought, cold and mean, yet once it’s realized, it’s liberating and euphoric. There’s also no simple and easy path to this state. The only way is through, one day at a time, and embracing all that life has to offer. This is everything we came here for, to these bodies, to these people, to all these experiences that have, and still shall shape our world view. Yes, it’s intense right now. The astrology recommends that you embrace it and love it for all its sensations. Leo In the amazing Robin Williams’s film “Dead Poet’s Society” the English teacher directed the students of his prep school to stand on their desks and look around to get a different perspective of their everyday, routine space. For one of the boys, this turned out to be a pivotal and transformative gesture. This New Moon, in your solar 7th House, may offer an opportunity to partner up with someone, in some creative, business, or even romantic coupling, to move a project or idea that has been at a standstill. Your creative, joyful self has been strapped down of late, not necessarily in a bad way, although it may have felt heavy and difficult at times, but more of in a hard work kind of way. A new partnership may be just the thing to get moving. Virgo It doesn’t have to be your job to make other’s happy. There’s nothing wrong with attempting to do so, quite the contrary, in the world we find ourselves in right now, it’s a very welcome disposition, however, taking on more than one person can handle has a tendency to backfire. The same energy that you may feel compelled to direct towards other people happiness could well be channelled into creative ventures that have the same effect, although not necessarily as direct, and have the added bonus of making you feel good. The idea here is to seek more of an exchange than a turning over of love. Exchanges create equity and balance, and have ripple effects across many, many boundaries. Libra The body is willing the mind says wait. This conversation has been going on for quite some time, and although it gets frustrating and therefore tempting to just let go of inhibition and go for what’s right in front of you, the hesitation still has gifts to give. What’s in front of you has such an air of uncertainty that looking at it from several different angles may be the the best way forward. In the meantime, and to reinforce right thinking, remember that so long as you move from a loving space, with loving thoughts, and be in the love that is truly the reality we are in, you will find your thoughts guiding you in a direction of clarity. Let that guide you to some useful form of self-expression, whatever your medium may be, writing, painting, dancing, yoga...all will be well. Scorpio Turn and face the strange. Could anyone have imagined any better than Bowie? I think not. We’re immersed in the strange, that’s for certain, and there’s little doubt that the strange is immersed in us as well. For some reason you may not be ready, willing, and/or able to turn and face that strangeness. It may be your thoughts, dark and churning, morose and foreboding, that cause the hesitation. It may be a fear, a big one, of the value loss that you think comes as a ramification of that move, or it may be your very own willful desire to hang on to that which has to go. Whatever it is, the astrology is pointing towards that turn, and the strange may just be a path to liberation that you never realized, or always knew, was waiting to be embraced. Embrace the strange. Sagittarius There’s never been a better time for critical thinking, in fact it’s critical to start thinking critically now. You’ve noticed a difference between what and how you feel and the way it seems to fit into the rest of the tribe, however, you may not have the confidence or sense of security to separate yourself from your crowd just yet. The New Moon in your 3rd house is an excellent time to run some experiments in independent thinking, to see how much of what you think is a product of your environment, your circle of comrades, out of habit, or if it’s truly and autonomously yours. Clearly you do not want to leave the tribe, the friendships are true and real, and there is a torrent of emotions swirling through you that need grounding. At the same time, standing alone, sure of your place in the world even if it’s against the grain, is the best place to be. Capricorn Self-undoing is one of the most wonderful and rewarding experiences to engage, and your process looks to be in the expansive space. This long period of growth and change has been difficult, for sure, and while the weight of it may be on your mind, the value and reward, both intrinsic and extrinsic, will become more and more plain as this New Moon approaches. It may not be a lasting clarity, that tends to rise and fall like the tides, but this offers a respite from the fog and confusion that has been more of the norm of late. This is a just reward for weathering the work that has been required for this period of transformation. Your mind may want to fight this through obsession over something that you know must be eliminated and that’s natural and ok. Don’t resist the thoughts, accept any grace that comes, and you will feel the rewards within. Aquarius If you haven’t felt this lately, it’s absolutely true, that you are truly unique, free, and have permission to be unabashedly yourself. There may have been a tendency to not feel this way lately due to factors outside of your control. One factor is that the collective unconscious is very powerful right now, and you have a special tie-in with that, a portal to it’s power, within your consciousness. Also, the collective consciousness has hoisted its weight on you and made what feels like obligatory demands for you to support your friend’s, allies, and organizations. With dynamics like these infusing your energy, it’s not surprising if you have felt a little lost, stretched out, overhyped and overwhelmed by other people’s challenges. You may have even taken on other people’s challenges as your own and forgotten that you are not them. This New Moon is calling your attention back to your vessel. Explore your personal domain. Pisces Listen carefully to what your partner (business or otherwise) has to say. It’s faith in your own abilities that will pull you through so don’t pick up insecurities that may not belong to you. Also, don’t let the insecurities of another cast doubt upon the union altogether. These are natural occurrences and the astrology suggests that you can put your faith in the partnership despite any thoughts to the contrary. The New Moon in your solar 12th house may shed light on an aspect of yourself that you would like to undo and your partnerships may point the way. The messages will be subtle, between spaces, and in the silence between words, so don’t try to hard to zero in on the challenge. When you let go of trying, it will come. Not quite like a flash, but more like through a whisper. ![]() New Moon Libra
Today, at 5:11 PM The Sun and Moon come together once again, in their seeming eternal cosmic duet. They conjoin at 8 degrees of Libra for a New Moon in that sign, signifying a darkness from which can be born any number of wildly new relationship ideas. The wildness potential in this particular Libra New Moon relates strongly to the expansive, jovial and feral Jupiter that sits at 4 degrees of Libra, partaking of the dance. The possibilities are limited only by the individual’s choice and worldview, which consequently, Jupiter is prone to pushing the boundaries that exist. Speaking of boundaries, Saturn remains in Sagittarius, one of the home sign’s of Jupiter, as well as being exalted, i.e., can work quite effectively, through Libra. Today is a good time to check in with the boundaries that exist and encompass your worldview and consider what fits and what doesn’t anymore and what novel ways of living, relating, and creating may charge your spirit in a more evolutionary way. My guess is that any questioning of values, for the above musing would most certainly also impact what one values, will be intense and deeply felt. With Venus in Scorpio feelings tend towards the raw and deeply-rooted. If one was to take up the suggestion of worldview analysis, one would be wise to have a built in timer that chimes after a certain amount of time. Scorpio’s fixed nature can leave the deep thinker in a state of obsession (not necessarily a bad thing, this is after all a no-judgment zone), so remember to have a way to break trance. As all things in astrology, this New Moon will affect everyone differently. Depending on your rising sign, the House placement will guide the thoughts, urges, and momentum of the astrology. Aries rising may experience a need to develop a deeper relationship with themselves, Taurus rising with their enterprises, Gemini with their ideas, Cancer rising with their ancestors. Consider your natal chart make-up (call or email me if you don’t know http://www.trinityastrology.com/how-to-reach-me.html). Mercury applies to Neptune: words may not suffice in the attempt to navigate and translate experience. How else can you communicate your reality?![]() The turning of the wheel is just that: a turning of the wheel. There’s little effort required, in fact, effort tends to get in the way of inspiration, which in turn requires perspiration, and tends to lead to exasperation, if you are prone to procrastination. The time is always now, but no time tends to be better, but when there is the odd confusion of an eclipse. For during an eclipse something is hidden, unseen, missed, hiding behind, trying not to be seen, or perhaps wanting to but not having the confidence or fidelity to come out and sing. So what it is now? who is the one who can tell? Can anyone tell your fortune or is it yours to be made? You know what the winged ones would say to that, or the 4 leggeds, or the creepy crawlies, or the wise one’s of the sea, or the fairies within the earth, and the ancestors. Shit, everyone but anyone in a body right now knows, and the rest of us must ponder and moan and groan or try to read a tome, or see the messages in the stars, and be not jealous of the one’s who think they have it, for there really is nothing to have, nothing to be, nothing to see, nothing to be sad about, nothing to be mad about, nothing to look for, nothing to search for, nothing to cry for, nothing to run from, nothing to hide from. Eclipse season is upon us starting Tuesday March 8th with a Solar Eclipse in Pisces, followed by a Lunar Eclipse Wednesday march 23rd on the Aries/Libra axis. Eclipses seem to have a quiet, still, expectant sense to them that tend to be better served in a more abstract way, that is, it’s better to feel them and sense what the message may be rather than arrive at them with pre-determined ideas for what could be. The word eclipse, according to the online etymology dictionary, is an abandonment, a failing, a forsaking. Not the kindest of words or experiences, however, and as always, valuable points of departure from the fallacy of experiencing life as a fixed and understandable phenomenon. It would seem that an eclipse, or eclipses since they seem to be related (duh, everything’s related), are the heaven's way of reminding us that we must stand alone at times to discover the way of growth and renewal, to remember novelty and chaos, to be lost and confused. There’s three important points in the chart of this eclipse on Tuesday: Jupiter, Saturn, and Chiron. For the day or two of the eclipse the Sun/Moon conjunction in Pisces, joined by Chiron just 2 degrees from perfection, are opposite Jupiter and square to Saturn. That’s a famous ol’ T-square with Saturn, in Sagittarius, as the focal point. This is a lot of Pisces/Jupiter energy that will be highlighted perhaps aiding and abetting a greater sense of abandonment in the moment. The moment is a herald for each seeker to observe and listen to the words or images or feelings that spring forth from the central nervous system. This is easily mistaken as personal, after all it comes seemingly with one’s own voice, within one’s body, however, that is all part of the mirage. The voice that seems to be one’s own is owned not by anyone, but belongs to the eternal tree standing on the eternal hill, ablaze with the fire that always burns, where love letters may be destroyed and other strategies employed in the goal of evolution. Water Bearing: an Aquarian Sun The Sun is in Aquarius, mid winter here in the North Hemisphere,a fixed sign and a fixed weather pattern (such as it is), and the water bearer takes front and center in the collective experience. If we could all find the honorable Aquarian qualities of Gunga din, the bhisti from Rudyard Kipling’s poem by the same name, the world would certainly be in a better place. Aquarian qualities such as commitment to tribe, service to a cause, emotional detachment, offering love, and the everlasting search and work towards a more innovative and improved society to name but a few. A bhisti is a water bearer in the general Indian sub-continent. Fittingly and Aquarian, the word is derived from the Persian bhist meaning paradise, and associated with the water bearers in honor of the sensation of paradise that their offering provides. The bhisti are less prevalent in our more modern age as India develops more organized water provisions, however, they can still be found at ceremonies, festivals, or any type of gathering where water is a necessity in the sweltering Indian heat and difficult to provide. While their station seems low, the bhisti themselves claim to be the descendants of an old Hindu class of warriors the Rajput. Gunga din is a great example of the possibilities of this claim as he appears in Kipling’s poem as courageous and bold, strong and faithful. A warrior with only a skin of water in horrid World War 1 battles raging all around him, steadfast, humble, observant, seemingly unaffected by the dangers and depravity. This is Aquarius in action. Gunga din was not treated well to say the least. He was verbally abused, fetishiesed by ignoratn, bigoted British soldiers, beaten and tortured. He was clearly not compensated well, if at all, for his service as he was in rags that barely covered his body and he was constantly in danger, never far from the soldiers he was duty bound to serve. Gunga din contained his emotions, like the water in his pouch, hugged the front lines, and offered love to his last breath. This is Aquarius in action. Gunga din ate pebbles for breakfast that day. Water bearers are tough like that. They have this amazing ability to put their own weighty and weary burden aside and manage to summon the strength to continue helping the ones within reach. Gunga din manages to nurture his own torturer with strength and compassion until his last breath. This is Aquarius in action. A guy who works as a public school teacher and two women, a therapist and an aide, went to work wishing peace and tranquility on a Friday and found turmoil and angst. Injured, mislead, abused, and anxiety ridden (good hearted) teenagers were falling apart. The crew came together, forgot their own comfort to find whatever multitude of ways they could dream or imagine, to save the minds, hearts, and departments of these troubled sad teenagers in a high school class. This is Aquarius in action. What stories do you have to tell? What scenes of service, without thought or burden, were displayed in your walk through another day? What inspirations have you drawn or epiphanies have you witnessed in others? What dream of a better world, a better way to do this thing (Oh yeah, I forgot, there is Lasqueti!) have you daydreamed, bantered about, or seen in action? This is the time to be aware and witness to those examples and to take whatever small or large part you may play. Also this month: Mercury: stations direct 1/25/16 and enters Aquarius on Valentine's Day Venus: Changes signs 3 times! 1/24/16 ingress Capricorn, 2/17/16 ingress Aquarius Ceres: ingress Pisces 1/29/16 New Moon Aquarius: 2/8/16 For more information on the above astrological events check back to www.trinityastrology.com I am available for personal readings, please also see www.trinityastrology.com Monthly Horoscopes: The Aquarian SunAries
Mnemosyne’s quest is ongoing and the roman gods don’t ever get ill when they spend time with a searcher on a hill ringed in scarlet fire. This is the dark time. Did you feel any bias from that? That’s always one of the most important questions at any turn, any twist, any quest of this life. The dark time is as necessary as the light time, there wouldn’t be any sense in existence if light always won out, darkness would give up seeing no sense in competing. So the dark time is as integrally important as the light, and this is the time to investigate that inner landscape. Your will is there, your drive to experience and feel even a fleeting sense of understanding with that experience and, with just a glimpse, you can radiate something solemn and important to the collective. You have an important message this month, something deep and relevant, but you must join with your shadow, deeply and intimately, to be receptive to the message. Taurus A new idea from the temple that houses your secrets, ever so gently: the best is here and now, never yet to be, there’s nothing to yearn for, there’s nothing to see or be. A great deal of empowerment stands behind you this month to make subtle or grand changes in your reality conceptions. The question may be how much is needed and how much you can fit. It’s bit of a trip through the Sun in Aquarius as Venus (you in this sense) changes signs 3 times in the quest. That’s twice through the 29th degree (anaretic = quite potent), first of Sagittarius and then of Capricorn, so there’s something that seems important to accomplish, something to forge in the way that you value. Most likely you're keen to your own net worth but this may have more to do with your assessment of others, and so it just might take an adjustment in the way that you understand your truths. Nothing is certain no matter how solid they may seem, everything is buzzing and shaking like bees in a bag. Gemini A silver toed dancer sprang out of a cake for the president of the united state, who was the only one left after the commissioners deleted the directions for testing whether anything mattered. He’s waiting in another dimension until someone figures out what to do. What’s an imagination for if not to run wild. This is not an era that exemplifies the daydreamer, the visionary, the idealist so well, but who is the time to tell you what to do? Dream big and dream wild for the truth is there is little truth the discern, however, there are many stories to tell and it seems you’ve been considering one or two of late. Let those stories unfold how they will, without resistance or judgment, play your part as you see best, and leave the rest to others. Meanwhile attune to principles and methods that bring you closer to something that calms your mind and keeps a pleasant rhythm in kind. Something that feels like god. Acts that feel religious, ceremonial. Make it a journey. A quest for spirit or lunch with the Muses and Alan Watts. Cancer The apples are only half eaten in eden, so there’s still some debauch to be had on this walk through the devil’s den. Pull up a chair and a raven will sing to you the hymn of eternity on just such a whim, for any good raven knows that there are many things to learn from sinking into the core of something deemed bad. Whoever came up with these definitions of good and bad and placed them in you is tugging at your shirtail and beckoning you back but you stand at a crossroads with all of that. You have a clear path to self fulfillment and have the will to create, however scary and weighty it may have seemed of late. Lightness will come, like a feather drifting, and though the position at contact with the nearest obstacle is unknown, your faith is stronger, and has yet still grown. Leo Play is at the heart of your desire and there's every reason to give in to that desire this month as the play may possess magical moments of awareness. Lovers come and go like a revolving door but love is everything and it's at the core of every atom. Realize this and you may just learn the art of patience and solitude rather than the bellowing of bombastic platitudes that sometimes bind you to contracts that you too late realize had parameters that you do not wish to attend. Think of it as stories that are being told, a chapter here, a page break there, unfolding with each turn of the page. Enter into the story your character as fits, but don't mistake the mask for your essence. You're so much more and yet so much less, you're just here to fit in the costume as best as can be, but it's a game and a sham, and can be full of glee. Let it be. Virgo The lazy ones are like the devil, not because they’re evil, oh contraire, it’s more like because they are simpatico in their dose of bureaucratic bullshit that they can take and leaving that behind to do the dirty, but fun, work is the route they like to take. If you’re on a path of gaining insights, and being aware, of the ways in which you grow and change, which I’m sure you are, then you know quite well that this year has peaked a curious poignancy in you mind. There’s something to learn here already about your essential self, how you conceive of that certain “you” (the famous I ), how you work with it but even more important how you play. Sex is play. It’s great fun and it’s a shame when it can;t be expressed as it wishes when it wishes. One revelation that might come to pass is an image of what inside that holds you back from expressing something unique unfettered and unchained. Give it room to maneuver and just observe and ponder. Libra An androgynous couple gets married in a courthouse while the lawyers, judges, and politicians (yes, even the ones who are portrayed as the good guys), frantically attempt to find a law that forbids this. Can this much sex be allowed? after much discussion and some heated debates a peace will enter the scene and a calmer, saner sense of control will prevail. See, the couple has no interest in marriage per se, not the kind that requires permission, papers, and stamps of approval. They're way beyond that. What they were interested in was seeing how much of a reaction there would be and if any of the collective would ravenously search the depths of their souls for the biases they own. Just as there are moves to have people turn in old cars, guns, and other such undesired (by the above trio in the judge's chambers) items, the androgynous lovers will take any old beliefs and biases for free and safe disposal. They are rabid for them at this time. Scorpio It's glorious day on the planet naboo so grab a bag of apples and cherries and sit under a willow tree while wildflowers run wistfully through the breeze. Dip your feet in the water and at dusk go to the hot pools and sink into the faery queen's abyss. Down there at cauldrons canyon you will meet many searchers and seers and have many mad adventures that will put to rest any thinking of tinkering with time. You've learned more than most of late the use and challenges of time, heck you may have come to the realization that there is no time, but regardless, you understand your place in things much better now. Now it's time to use that awareness to your advantage and act while the energy is in you. You are the reason everything exists. Everything is the reason why you exist. Jump into the groove of reciprocity and you will be rewarded tenfold. Sagittarius So what if man goes the way of the dodo bird, consciousness is not man, it's all a ruse played on the devils plate. Whatever this feeling is you've been trying to capture, to hold so tenderly and carefully, is mirrored in the nature of creation: it's beyond comprehension, it's stranger than you ever imagined. The idea of giving it structure and form is the hardest, and most fleeting job of all, which produces only more ideas that eventually count as old. Your will is at rest, rumbling around with spirits and intangible outlaws for the moment, but it's brewing a new ideal, one that will provide a more flexible appeal, to you and all who you touch and see. Go vertical. Be still with every movement, let every word that passes through your mind be like the wind in the willows. Be like the cottonwood, standing strong, bold, humble; while knowing that at your core is the star that all the clowns will dance around. Capricorn Deliver a mighty blow to all who presume to be the ministers of beauty and love by dousing flames and blistering snows onto the heaps of culture’s pile of what it thinks it knows. Standing at the top of a mountain one can see for miles and miles and have an understanding that is happily devoid of desire, and so the clearing out process continues. It seems it will focus on what is most precious and valuable to your deepest, essential essence this month. It also seems that if you can find a peaceful place, somewhere outdoors, and let the day and cultures haze drip away from your shore, that you'll feel just about as perfectly fine as can be. Alone or together it will not matter, for there's something to see in the deep quiet of mind that tells you just when you can let go. Soon again you will find your voice and rejoice at the clarity you feel. Aquarius Sinking nearby the amazons basin, a scared old man faces his reflection and stares into his own abyss. Speechless he will become in front of the altar of destiny's rainbow as old friends, old times, utopians gone by, rekindles old flames that leap out of the furnace, and leave him in a daze. The collective unconscious is a powerful and sometimes frightening force to experience and is a good reason why it is so easily denied. Tapping for an instant into that limitless morass also offers inspiration and wonder that can far surpass any natural trepidation that creeps through the eternal unknown. Conscious journeys as such are made often much lighter in the safety and structure of an intentional tribe, so gather your allies, call in your banners, for the ancestors are calling you forward once more. Pisces Alone, one never is, no matter how things seem. Hidden somewhere, if even in a dream, is a hero, a savior, a christ on the pillar, a man on a hill, or a woman in a hut with bottles of potion for every occasion. The secret is that all of the time every one of those manifestations is you. On this occasion, if you should choose to call on the sacred witch, she would likely choose the potion of "domination that calls for a truce". Drink the tea and settle the score and leave off at zero once more, for any such struggles that come through the foggy and challenging nature of love, need mending and peace. We have no choice, little at least, to live this life through mutual interdependence with all, and while it's easy to look away from the pain, to embrace the necessary truth that you see can only bring fortune to we. The Moon in Piscessilent mind, pleasant delight, freakish wonder at the starlit night What is the color of nothingness that drips from the fountain of youth so holy in the morning mist a stag on the hill chases a buttercup for just one more kiss before the mountain shakes and the leaves rustle and the teamsters hustle for their morning brew 1/13/16
Luna makes several aspects today starting just after midnight here in San Francisco when she trines Mars, making for a lovely early evening dream or a roll in arms of a lover, depending on your sleep patterns. Luna then offers deep REM sleep aid when she joins the dreamer of dreams Neptune, in Sagittarius nonetheless, just before dawn breaks. Here’s hoping you have a dream journal nearby. As the day rolls on, as is so oft the case in a warped and tired culture, things may get a bit more serious, at the very least concrete, as the Moon applies a first quarter square to Saturn. Who’s the boss moment, make it you. Early evening provides a possible urge to purge as she sextiles Pluto, volcanic emotions for an hour or two and a magnificent series of moments to purge in the best possible ways. Finally, at days end, moving still and as always in partnership with the cosmos, and with all that energy passed through and among the collective, she falls in the arms of the lover of lovers Venus in the late evening wishing all, comfort and goodnight. ![]() The Sun and the Moon are in Scorpio And Mercury listens in, listens in their annual chomp at the bit for the heart of any matter that matters or not through entering the regions taboo: dark recesses of the soul, depths of the sea, attics of life and Mercury listens in, listens in a sublte yet furious rush like birds in the sea trolling for glee bits and pieces of sea shells and star dust form a new paradigm whispering from the dark as Mercury listens in, listens in stray dogs and cats prattling about melancholy lines meander in an out face to face with a two ton bear grinning through his breakfast at the lovers in the air and Mercury listens in, listens in making mad love in the morning mist The scorpion lovers cast a shadow On tangled apple trees and rose gardens That mimic the cycles of life and death And Mecury listens in, listens in Radical mutual interdependence death is the lover of life life can never leave death and they’re having the time of their lives and Mercury listens in, listens in the new moon comes to the altar the androgynous one prays for vision and clarity and the dissolving of cages of consciousness that virtually make us mad and Mercury listens in, listens in Break trance see the merry pranksters dance don’t stop at reds and go on greens plant a willow tree in a field of beets with a scarlet heart while Mercury listens in, listens in |
